HelpAge Cambodia (HAC) is a local nongovernmental organization that works with older people to fulfill their potential to lead dignified, active, healthy and secure lives.

HelpAge Cambodia supports older people and their households across Battambang and Banteay Meanchey provinces through community-based services that ensure safety and security and assists older people to empower themselves through sustainable rural development activities. HelpAge Cambodia supports older people to engage with local authorities to participate in local development and planning and to campaign to develop and implement old-age friendly policies and programmes.

For over 20 years, HelpAge has worked with older people in Cambodia through Older People’s Associations (OPAs).  HelpAge Cambodia has directly support formed and strengthened a total of 170 Older People’s Associations and 6 Federations of Older People at the district level to become highly successful and participatory actors in local development.
